On Tuesday, February 5th, Gerald T. Ahnert, author of “The Butterfield Trail and Overland Mail Company in Arizona, 1858-1861,” will be at the Wellton Library at 1:30 p.m. to talk about the significance the Butterfield Trail played in settling the American West. The Butterfield Trail was a mail and passenger route that includes Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California.
There is no charge to attend. Books will be available for purchase, and book signings will commence after the program.
