February Computer Classes @ Main Library

The following computer classes will be offered in the computer lab at the Main Library, 2951 S 21st Drive, during the month of February. For more information, call (928) 782-1871.

Basic Classes

Mouse Basics
New to computers? Start with this self-paced computer class to build up basic mouse skills.
Monday, February 4th, 11th @ 9:30 a.m.

Computer Basics
Become familiar with computer components and demystify computer jargon. One session class; basic mouse skills are required.
Wednesday, February 6th,13th,20th,27th @ 9:30 a.m.

Internet Basics
Learn basic skills to navigate the Internet. One session class; basic mouse and computer skills are required.
Friday, February 1st,8th,15th,22nd @ 9:30 a.m.

Basic computer classes in Spanish are offered Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. and Saturdays at 1:00 p.m. A basic mouse and keyboard class is offered every Friday at 11:00 a.m.

Advanced Classes

Microsoft Excel, Part 1
Learn how to use the spreadsheet program to make different projects. Basic computer skills required.
Tuesday, February 12th @ 2:00 p.m.

Microsoft Excel, Part 2
Learn how to use the spreadsheet program to make different projects. Class builds on skills learned the previous week; basic computer skills required.
Tuesday, February 19th @ 2:00 p.m.

Facebook
Familiarize yourself with the popular social networking tool Facebook! Learn how it works, what it’s for, and how to tighten privacy settings.
Thursday, February 7th @ 3:30 p.m.

File Management
Learn how to save and retrieve documents to your hard drive and memory devices, create folders, and move and copy files.
Wednesday, February 6th @ 3:30 p.m.

Google Earth
Travel the world without leaving the computer! Explore new places via Google Earth.
Thursday, February 14th @ 9:30 a.m.

Microsoft PowerPoint
Learn how to use PowerPoint to create basic slideshows. One session class; basic computer skills are required.
Wednesday, February 20th @ 2:00 p.m.

Microsoft Publisher
Learn how to use Publisher to create greeting cards, flyers, posters, and more! One session class; basic computer skills are required.
Wednesday, February 27th @ 2:00 p.m.

Microsoft Word
Learn how to create word processing documents. One session class; basic computer skills are required.
Wednesday, February 13th @ 2:00 p.m.

There is no charge to attend; however, space is limited. Classes are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Please sign in at the second floor Computer Access Desk before the class begins.
