What’s cooking in Yuma? Visit the Main Library Saturdays in February to learn about local agriculture and cooking possibilities! There is no charge to attend.
Saturday, February 9th @ 1:00 p.m.
Kristan Sheppeard will discuss Yuma agriculture and agri-tourism. Afterwards, Chef Bob Nidiffer will talk about how to choose fruits and vegetables at the peak of their freshness.
Saturday, February 16th @ 1:00 p.m.
Chef Brian Tolbert of the Hilton Garden Inn will talk about cooking techniques.
Saturday, February 23rd @ 1:00 p.m.
Chef Karla Billdt of Karla’s Kreations will show how to season foods with a mirepoix (a traditional French culinary combination of onions, carrots and celery aromatics).
