Reading Room Guidelines
Please refer to the AHS Conditions of Use for basic rules about the reading room and how to use the materials. Researchers must sign the Conditions of Use form at each visit.
The Reading Room has free WiFi access, and electrical outlets and network connections are available.
In a joint agreement between AHS and the Yuma County Library District, YCLD staff member Laurie Boone will provide reference service and onsite stewardship for these collections. Laurie received her undergraduate degree in International Affairs with a minor in Latin American Studies from Florida State University. She also completed a Certificate in Translation Studies from Florida International University. She has travelled extensively and worked overseas as a Spanish/English translator. She obtained a Master of Library and Information Science from University of South Florida.
Before coming to Yuma, Laurie worked as a reference librarian for the City of Mesa Library and the Burton Barr Library in Phoenix. With over 10 years of library experience, Laurie has developed specialized skills in genealogy research and a keen interest in local history.
