5th Annual “Peeps” Diorama Contest

20140324-peepHave you ever read the story of Ender’s Peep? How about The War of the Peeps? See these characters and create your own during the Yuma County Library’s 5th Annual “Peeps” contest!

The theme for 2014 is “Peeps in Space!” Adults, teens, children, and families are invited to make a diorama based on a science fiction book, movie, or TV show using Marshmallow Peeps as the characters. Submit your entry to the Main or Foothills Library before 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 19th. Entries will be displayed April 21st-26th for the public to vote on the “Peeple’s Choice” award. Entries for each category will also be judged by a library panel. Winners will be announced the week of April 28th.

Contest guidelines and entry forms are available at the Main Library, 2951 S 21st Drive, and the Foothills Library, 13226 E South Frontage Road.

Get started at our Family Peeps Workshop! Just bring your own Peeps and boxes, and the library will provide paper, paste, pompoms, pipe cleaners, and other miscellaneous craft items.
