Firefighter Story time @ Heritage Library

Families are invited to a special story time at the Heritage Library! On Friday, March 6th, Yuma firefighters will visit the library at 4:00 p.m. to talk about fire safety, read some of their favorite stories, and show everyone their fire truck and special firefighting equipment! There is no charge to attend.

Yuma Youth Fiddlers @ Main Library

On Saturday, March 7th, the Yuma Youth Fiddlers will perform from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the Main Library. There is no charge to attend.

The Yuma Youth Fiddlers are a group of K-12 student musicians from Yuma Lutheran School and Southwestern Christian School. The group plays fiddle style music, including American bluegrass and Celtic, on violin, viola, cello, string bass and guitar. The group is directed by Margaret Fenske.

Burgers for Books! “Cover to Cover” Reading Program

The Yuma County Library District is partnering with In-N-Out Burger to offer burgers for books to children ages 4-12. Stop by any branch of the Yuma County Library District and sign up for the “Cover to Cover” reading program. Read 5 books between March 7th and April 18th and receive an award certificate with a coupon for a free burger from In-N-Out! Parents may read aloud to young children unable to read on their own to earn a coupon. Children are limited to earning 3 coupons during the program.

Dr. Seuss Movie Saturdays @ Wellton Library

Celebrate the birthday of Dr. Seuss all month long at the Wellton Library! Families are invited to the library every Saturday in March at 1:00 p.m. for movies based on Dr. Seuss books. There is no charge to attend.

Craft Expo @ San Luis Library

Genealogy & D.A.R. Workshop @ Foothills Library

The Foothills Library, in collaboration with the Daughters of the American Revolution (D.A.R.), will host a Genealogy and D.A.R. Membership Workshop on Tuesday, February 17th, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. D.A.R. members and a librarian will be available to assist with genealogical research and speak with those interested in D.A.R. membership.
