On Thursday, January 15th, University of Arizona Professor Steve Poe will present “Irrigation for Your Garden and Landscape” at 4:00 p.m. at the Main Library. Learn about the various kinds of irrigation and what works best in Arizona. There is no charge to attend.

eReader Instruction @ Foothills Library

Learn how to download eBooks for free from the library! On Thursday, January 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th, the Foothills Library will offer instruction on various digital devices at 5:00 p.m. Learn basic skills and find out how to download eBooks from the library’s website.

There is no charge to attend; however, space is limited. Please charge your device before class.

Sew-In @ Wellton Library

Make a pillowcase, make a difference! The East Valley Optimist Club, in conjunction with the Wellton Library, is sponsoring “Sew-ins” to sew colorful pillowcases for cancer patients at the Phoenix Children’s Hospital as part of Optimist International’s Childhood Cancer Campaign.

Saturday, January 10th
9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

There is no charge to attend. Participants should bring the following:
• Sewing Machine (a limited number of machines will be available)
• Thread
• One yard cotton print (42-44 inches wide)
• 1/3 yard solid color cotton fabric (42-44 inches wide)
• Brown bag lunch
