Silvestre Curiel, Library Network Technician, has been chosen as the Yuma County Library District’s Employee of the Month for October 2016. This award is to recognize an employee that inspires us with their effort and attitude.
“I nominate Silvestre Curiel because he is one of the hardest working employees in the district. Silvestre not only performs at an optimal level, he always treats others with respect, care, and professionalism. Silvestre enjoys learning and improving for the benefit of self, others, and the district. In addition to doing his job exceedingly well, Silvestre is known for being available when others are in need. I have witnessed staff call him over with questions or needing help and he has never said; I can’t, I am on my way out, I don’t have time. Any of those comments would be true and correct as Silvestre is always working on a big project or solving a predicament pertaining to software or IT. Silvestre has been with the district for a while. In this time he has continued to grow and climb the professional ladder. That is because he has continued to pursue his education while working a full time job. He is deserving of this award!”
Silvestre received a mounted certificate, a name plate in the book of his choice, an Employee of the Month pin, and his photo will be hung in the Main Library during the month of October.
Congratulations Silvestre!
