On Thursday, February 1st, Chuck Wullenjohn, Public Affairs Officer for the Yuma Proving Ground, will present “Ensuring Army Battlefield Effectiveness: the U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground Story” at Yuma County Libraries. Since 1943, U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground has been a vital part of the Yuma community. Its mission is to test the weapon systems and munitions used by American ground forces and several foreign allies to maintain reliability and battlefield effectiveness. Join us as we commemorate YPG’s 75th anniversary! There is no charge to attend.

Chuck Wullenjohn has served as Public Affairs Officer at US Army Yuma Proving Ground since November 1989. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in social science from Humboldt State University in 1974, with specialties in history, political science and English. He completed graduate work at Hayward State and San Jose State Universities. He is an avid writer and photographer who has had numerous articles and photographs published both nationally and internationally.
