From 9:00 a.m. Monday, February 25th to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2nd, bring any overdue or damaged items to any Yuma County Library. We will forgive fines associated with the items, as well as some existing fees (up to $100).

Who is eligible to participate?
All Yuma County Library District library cardholders may have fines forgiven from February 25 – March 2.
How does the program work?
Lost or damaged items checked out prior to January 2018 are eligible. Bring any overdue or damaged items to the Circulation Desk at any of our eight branches. The library will forgive fines associated with the items, as well as some existing fees (up to $100).
Which fines will be forgiven?
Please note, the maximum amount eligible for forgiveness is $100 per account.
Overdue fines for materials that have been returned
Fees for items that have been lost
Fees for items that have been damaged
Fines for items on Hold that were not picked up

Which fees are not eligible?
These fees cannot be forgiven because they are assessed by an outside agency.

If I lost my library card, can I receive a free replacement card?
Yes, the Library District will issue replacement library cards free of charge during this time.
What if I recently paid my fines? Can I get a refund?
The Library District is unable to issue refunds for fines and fees previously paid.
Can I return overdue/damaged items in the book drop?
Items may be returned in the book drop; however, if an item is badly damaged or missing its barcode, we may not be able to match the materials with the correct library card account to forgive the fines and/or fees. The best way to clear fines and fees is to visit the Circulation desk at one of our libraries. No judgment-we promise!
Can I replace lost items?
Replacing lost items is not necessary.
