Sandra Nicasio, Circulation Supervisor, has been chosen as the Yuma County Library District’s Employee of the Month for December 2016. This award is to recognize an employee that inspires us with their effort and attitude.
What was said about Sandra:
“Sandra has been overseeing this department for many years now. She has had many staff come and go in her department. But with all the changes, she still manages the department with an extremely positive attitude. She encourages her staff to grow. She has managed to develop a solid team with creativity. Her department has the best decoration and most festive atmosphere. She makes herself available to help others when needed. What is most amazing is that when she is shorthanded, short staffed, or training new staff her department still runs without a glitch. When we are offline because of software issues, her department is affected the most. With the volume of patrons that are serviced and the data input after we go back online, you never hear of any burdens. Sandra has perfected the day to day operations in her department; sometimes we don’t realize all what is entailed because of her longevity, but it is through her experience and professionalism that we all benefit. Sandra currently has some amazing and creative staff. She encourages and allows that creativity to be utilized in promoting the Library. She has built up the moral, in her department, by her exceptional management skills.”
Sandra received a mounted certificate, a name plate in the book of her choice, an Employee of the Month pin, and her photo will be hung at the Main Library during the month of November. Congratulations Sandra!
