Kathya Ochoa, Library Assistant I/Teen Services – San Luis Library has been chosen as the Yuma County Library District’s Employee of the Month for January 2021. This award is to recognize an employee that inspires us with their effort and attitude.
What was said about Kathya:
“Throughout the pandemic we all kept working really hard, but there was one person that never stood still since the San Luis Library closed to the public. Kathya kept working really hard to make sure she could reach as many patrons as possible and was one of the first staff members to start delivering online programing. Even though we are a little short staffed and spend most of our time covering desks, she makes sure that patron holds and requests are fulfilled on time. She has been very helpful. She makes desk transitions easy by always being early or on time. She is a coworker that will always have your back no matter what and makes coming to work such a pleasure. She encourages and motivates others to work just as hard.”
Kathya received a mounted certificate, a name plate in the book of her choice, an Employee of the Month pin, and her photo will be hung at the San Luis Library during the month of January. Congratulations Kathya!
