David McCain, IT Computer Technician II, has been chosen as the Yuma County Library District’s Employee of the Month for May 2018. This award is to recognize an employee that inspires us with their effort and attitude.
What was said about David:
“I would like to nominate David McCain for employee of the month. Having David on the IT team makes a huge difference. He always speaks up in team meetings and provides a unique perspective. He is one of the most reliable coworkers I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with and he is a great role model. It’s really admirable to see how David always gets projects through from conception to completion and always finding a way to get things done and done well. David has outstanding communication skills and I’ve been quite impressed with how he helps new employees get up to speed. David has outstanding customer service and a strong work ethic. It is incredible how often David goes above and beyond to help out patrons as well as the staff from all the library branches.
David is a great team player. He is always trying to find ways to improve computer deployment, the security of our computer systems, and the management of the computer systems in all the library branches.
David has always gone above and beyond when help is needed in the Youth Services department. When I have a question, he never hesitates to stop and answer, and always with a smile. He is knowledgeable in his field and I feel he deserves recognition for his great work ethic.”
David received a mounted certificate, a name plate in the book of his choice, an Employee of the Month pin, and his photo will be hung at the Main Library during the month of May. Congratulations David!
