On Saturday, November 28th, the Genealogical Society of Yuma will present “German Immigration to America” at 10:30 a.m. in Room B at the Main Library. Genealogist Stephen Packer will discuss German research, historical background, naming practices, old German script, German words necessary to do research, history and types of German records, and the use of gazetteers. All are welcome! There is no charge to attend.
