Alma Mendoza, Circulation Supervisor, has been chosen as the Yuma County Library District’s Employee of the Month for March 2021. This award is to recognize an employee that inspires us with their effort and attitude.
What was said about Alma:
“Alma has stepped into the Circulation Supervisor position this year very effectively despite the many challenges of the past year. She and her predecessor had to make major adjustments and take on extra duties when the COVID pandemic struck: cleaning books and shelves, coming up with curbside procedures, and, more recently, going “fine free.” Alma has managed these changes very effectively, and always with a friendly, positive attitude. She is a great role model for her excellent staff with the professional, helpful way she treats patrons and staff. She is very approachable to answer questions or solve problems. Alma’s position is a critical one for the Library, and we are very fortunate to have her in that role.”
Alma received a mounted certificate, a name plate in the book of her choice, an Employee of the Month pin, and her photo will be hung at the Main Library during the month of March. Congratulations Alma!
