The Yuma County Library District will join libraries across the nation to celebrate Teen Read Week October 19th-24th. Celebrated every October, Teen Read Week encourages teens to read for the fun of it and check out what’s new at their library.
This year, teens ages 13-18 are invited to join local poets Erika Vazquez and Lucy Valenzuela for poetry writing workshops. Learn about different kinds of poetry, and how to generate ideas for poems from feelings, everyday experiences, and from observing the world around you.
