Fiscal Sponsors
Decide if there is a need to become a nonprofit organization or if you could collaborate or partner with an existing nonprofit whose mission is similar to yours. Fiscal Sponsorship is a system by which a legally recognized 501(c)(3) public charity provides sponsorship for a project that does not have its own 501(c)(3) status, thereby enabling that project to solicit and receive grants and tax-deductible contributions. Internal Revenue Services Tax Exempt Organizations
990 Form
The annual Information Return that U.S. charities and other tax exempt organizations file with the IRS. The 990 form is public information and is available on the Internet, from the IRS, from the State’s Attorney General’s office or from the organization itself.

The Yuma Community Foundation is an affiliate of the highly respected Arizona Community Foundation which has been in existence more than 32 years. Its mission is to lead, serve and collaborate. The Yuma Community Foundation secures endowment funds for Yuma County nonprofits that are administered by the Arizona Community Foundation. It is from these funds that many local nonprofit organizations benefit by receiving grants.
