Study Rooms

Availability

    • Study Rooms are free and open to the public. A library card is not required; however, staff may request to see I.D.
    • Study Rooms are available on a first come, first served basis. Reservations are highly encouraged.
    • A Study Room can be reserved for 1-3 hours per day, depending on branch:
      • Main, San Luis, Wellton libraries – 3 hours
      • Foothills & Heritage libraries – 2 hours
      • Somerton Library – 1 hour

Reservations

    • Reservations can be made in person or by telephone.
    • Reservations can be made the day of, or up to two weeks in advance.
    • Multiple members of a group may not make multiple reservations for that group.
    • If you are more than 10 minutes late for your reservation, it may be cancelled.
    • Single users, or groups of two, in large study rooms will be asked to relocate if a group of three or more requests a Study Room.
    • Library Staff has the discretion to modify or cancel a Study Room reservation as necessary.

Rules

    • Study rooms are for non-commercial use only.
    • Windows are to remain uncovered, and doors are to remain unlocked.
    • No food is allowed in the Study Rooms. Covered beverages are permitted. Patrons must leave Study Rooms clean and trash-free.
    • The Library does not provide dry erase markers.
    • Study Rooms are not soundproof. In consideration of others, use of headphones is recommended.
    • The Library is not responsible for the security of personal items.
    • Furniture is not to be re-arranged or moved in/out of a study room except by authorized staff. Capacity is strictly enforced based on seating available in the room.
    • Activities involving items such as (but not limited to) glue guns, glue, paint, glitter, or other substances difficult to clean are not allowed.
    • Failure to abide by Study Room rules or the Patron Code of Conduct could result in suspension of Study Room privileges.
