Las Amiga’s Women’s Club

The Las Amiga’s Woman’s Club was formed on March 24th, 1951 and federated with the Arizona Federation of Women’s Clubs in May, 1951.  Membership in the club was open to members of the Yuma Women’s Club and the Yuma Junior Women’s Club or by majority vote of the club members. The club provided social events for its members as well as various charity events. The club raised funds for the CARE for Korea Campaign and provided volunteers for many Red Cross blood drives.

The collection consists of two scrapbooks containing photos, news clippings, and other assorted materials concerning the club’s activities in the 1950s.
