General Questions
Items may be renewed twice. Please be aware that you will not be able to renew an item if other patrons are waiting to borrow it.
Eligible items will automatically be renewed twice, 1 day before their due date, as long as there are no Holds on the item. The Library’s courtesy email notice will indicate the updated due dates of items that were automatically renewed.
To renew items yourself, log in to your account and go to “My Borrowing.” Under each item you have checked out, you will see a "Renew" button in the lower right. Please be aware that you will not be able to renew an item if other patrons are waiting to borrow it.
YCLD does not assess late fines; however, you are still responsible for returning your items. The Library will send you reminders to return your items. The first overdue notice will be sent 2 weeks after the due date. A final notice will be sent 4 weeks after the due date.
If you don’t return billed items, your account may be referred to a collection agency and an additional $10 fee will be added to your account.
The standard loan period is 21 days. However, New Books, DVDs, and Video Games may only be checked out for 10 days.
Your PIN number is a four-digit number that allows you to log in to your account and access Online Resources. If you’ve forgotten your PIN, call the Circulation Department at (928) 373-6492 for assistance.
Fees can be paid by cash or check at any library.
You can also pay by credit card through your online account. To pay fees online, log in to your account and under "My Borrowing" click on "Fees." Please call the Circulation Department at (928) 373-6492 if you need assistance.
Visit yumalibrary.org and select Log In/My Account in the upper right corner. Enter your library card number and PIN. You will see the personal information attached to the account, including any fees owed. You can also call the Circulation Department at (928) 373-6492 for assistance.
You can register online for an eCard to get instant access to digital library materials like eBooks, audiobooks and streaming videos, as well as online resources. Please note, YCLD eCards expire after 30 days.
YCLD library card accounts must be updated every 2 years. Please ask for your library card’s expiration date at any YCLD location, or view your card’s expiration in My Account. To renew your account, you can visit any YCLD location or call the Circulation desk at (928) 373-6492.
If your address has changed, you will need to bring valid proof of new address to any YCLD location.
Visit the Circulation Desk and show a photo ID. Staff will look up your account in the system.
Replacement library cards are available for $2.
Once you’ve located the item you would like to borrow in the catalog, click the green Place Hold button. Enter your Library Card number and PIN. From the drop-down menu, select the library location at which you would like to pick up your hold. Click the green Place Hold button.

You can search the library catalog, located at the top of any webpage, for titles, authors, subjects, or just keywords.

Non-resident cards are available for a fee of $5.00 per month. $25.00 for six months, or $50.00 for one year.

If photo ID does not have a current local address, proof of a current Yuma county residential address will be required. A Post Office box will not be accepted as current address, only for mailing purposes.

All children or young adults up to age 18 can be issued a library card with parent’s or legal guardian’s signature. The parent or legal guardian must present a valid photo ID with current local address.
